Tie-dyed, fold-over, satchel

I’ve noticed some leather “fold-over” bags on recent fashion pages. I thought it would be fun to adapt that idea to a cloth shoulder bag. I dyed some fabric using the “color parfait” method from Color by Accident by Ann Johnston and sewed up this everyday sized bag.

I trimmed the bag with some hand-dyed lace from Dharma Trading.

The inside is lined with a fun print and it has two interior pockets, good for cell phone, keys, and lipstick.

The strap is 50″ long, and is attached to the outside back. The dimensions are height – 10″ and width – 12″.

A warm, cozy place for your ipad

There’s nothing more inviting an a handmade, felted holder to keep a high tech device cozy and safe. So in addition to my felted cell phone cases, I fashioned some ipad cases. I gave my prototype case to my mom and she loves it. If her ipad is not in it, it’s sitting on top of it, providing soft protection from her kitchen tile counter top.
